The Matthew Perry death investigation has taken a surprising turn. The Friends star tragically died in October 2023. It was later confirmed that his death was caused by the use of ketamine. Since that time, police have reportedly been looking into how the actor acquired the drug. Now, it’s revealed that they’re looking into one of his former pals, Brooke Mueller, who also happens to be the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen.
According to In Touch Weekly, Brooke Mueller and Matthew Perry became friends after meeting in rehab. However, they were also connected through Charlie Sheen, who previously guest-starred during an early season of Friends. The authorities have allegedly questioned Mueller multiple times and have seized her phone and computer in the name of the investigation. Sources claim that Mueller has been very cooperative and has also hired lawyers.

“She’s hired lawyers and has had multiple meetings with law enforcement since they arrived at her sober living house with a search warrant. She’s being tight-lipped about the situation,” an insider said. “It’s tough to say or know exactly what her role is [in Matthew’s death], but she’s adamant she had nothing to do with that.”
During his struggle with sobriety, Perry was in and out of rehab more than a dozen times. In his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, he opened up about his issues. “To simply stay alive, I had to turn myself into a professional patient,” he wrote.
Over the years, Brooke Mueller has been in the tabloids for her marriage to Sheen as well as her substance abuse issues. She and Sheen share twin sons, Max and Bob, whose custody has changed hands more than once due to their parents’ issues. However, her friendship with Matthew Perry wasn’t commonly known before his death.
