Crazy Town lead singer Shifty Shellshock has died. The band’s frontman was just 49 years old. The musician, whose real name is Seth Binzer, was found at his Los Angeles home on June 24. However, his cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, fans are saddened by the news of the “Butterfly” singer’s untimely passing.
Shifty Shellshock began his music career in the early 1990s and was part of a band called the Brimstone Sluggers before eventually transitioning into the rock band Crazy Town. The band also included Bret Mazur, James Bradley Jr., Doug Miller, Rust Epique, Adam Goldstein, and Antonio Lorenzo.

Shellshock and the band released two albums. The single “Butterfly” off of their first record became a huge hit and was even featured in the Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson film “Something’s Gotta Give.” After the release of their second album, the band broke up, reports People. Sadly, the lead singer suffered from substance abuse issues throughout his career.
He documented his issues on the VH1 reality shows “Celebrity Rehab” and “Sober House.” In 2012, he was hospitalized and fell into a coma before eventually recovering. He also battled legal issues. Over the years he was charged with battery, drug possession, and DUI.
Fans were saddened by the news of Shellshock’s death and took to social media to share their condolences and send love.
